Homestead Tour
Practical, chemical-free, budget-friendly living from our 15-year homestead
Join us for a hands-on homesteading workshop
We’ve spent 15 years turning a blank section into a thriving, self-sufficient homestead using DIY, trial & error, and occasional strokes of genius. Come and learn how we do it — naturally, affordably, and with joy.
What you’ll see and learn about on the day
- 15 years of real-world experience — DIY, trial & error, low-cost ingenuity
- Natural, chemical-free, unconventional land & animal management
- Small-scale animal production: We make all our own meat products — salami, sausages, bacon, brawn, pâté, corned beef & more
- Livestock: Cows, pigs, goats, sheep, ducks, horses, bees & chickens
- Extensive vegetable gardens, orchard, greenhouse & large crop area
- Dairy from our cows & goats — cheese, butter, yogurt, ice cream, sour cream & more
- Traditional skills: fat rendering, soap making, composting, woodstove cooking, creams & balms, composting toilet, preserving, medicinal herbs, holistic health, homeschooling & more
